It's the Return of Foreign Phrase Friday - Let's Learn GREEK!
As we kick off 2015, it is time for the return of Foreign Phrase Friday (for our Twitter followers, search #ForeignPhraseFriday to get the weekly Friday tweet). We at Travel Team 360 believe that when traveling to a foreign country, learning even just a few basic words and phrases in the native language makes the journey much smoother, but more importantly, helps you immerse yourself in the culture. After all, isn't that why you are traveling in the first place? Every (or almost every) Friday we will post on Twitter and Facebook the word or phrase of the week, along with pronunciation tips as needed. Some weeks we may even post more than one key word or phrase!
The first language we are going to feature this year is GREEK since Travel Team 360 is heading to Athens, Santorini, Crete and Rhodes (as well as Epheseus and Istanbul) later in the Spring. Written Greek requires the Greek alphabet, so we are focusing on conversational Greek and will provide the transliteration for the Greek letters. The format in the tweets will be "Engligh Word: Greek pronounciation" Learn along with us as we study the most needed words and phrases to make traveling to Greece even more fun!
